Local Leading Ladies - Alex

Next up in our Local Leading Ladies stories is the fun and quirky Alex (known to her IG followers as @alexmccormick95).  Young Alex is only 22 but loves experimenting with her look, describing herself as a ‘chameleon at heart’.  She currently favours an edgy rock look, softened with pretty prints – ‘I don't really tend to follow fashion trends I just love wearing things that I love! Anything that I think is fun or different I'll wear it!’

Second up in our Local Leading Ladies stories is the gorgeous Maeve, known to her Insta followers as @maeviefm!  She describes herself as a ‘vintage treasure enthusiast’ and this certainly comes across in her unique sense of style.  She effortlessly mixes in her true vintage finds with contemporary high street pieces for an affordable and elegant day-to-day look – ‘I’ll mix a T-shirt from H&M with a vintage leather skirt I found in the Rusty Zip’.

Rockabilly: How to Rock That Style!

My store specialises in what is termed ‘vintage inspired’ clothing – brand spanking new clothes, but made using patterns and prints reminiscent of styles from era’s gone-by.  If you have been following me on Facebook and Instagram, you will have seen me refer to ‘pin-up’, ‘rockabilly’, ‘steampunk’, ‘gothic’ and ‘punk’ in my posts but what do these terms mean exactly? Day of the Dead Comes to Belfast!

The Day of the Dead Festival is coming to Belfast on October 6th!
